Cliona Christle is a Partner in the Firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department. She is also joint Head of the Firm’s Life Sciences and Healthcare Group. Her expertise is in litigation, medical and healthcare law.
Cliona has represented healthcare clients including hospitals and members of the medical and nursing profession for over 15 years. As a litigator, she specialises in professional indemnity, medical negligence, product liability and employer liability claims. She has represented clients in statutory and non statutory inquires, most recently the Post Mortem Inquiry, as well as before ministerial committees appointed in disciplinary matters.
On the advisory side, Cliona advises on a wide range of legal and regulatory issues for healthcare clients, including human assisted reproduction, clinical trials, legal and ethical issues in medical research, data protection law, freedom of information law, confidentiality, consent, mental health law, infectious diseases/disease surveillance, risk management and child protection issues.
