Eoin MacNeill is a Partner in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution department. He has extensive experience of advising clients across a range of contentious matters with an emphasis on commercial litigation, professional negligence and employment disputes. In addition to advising international and domestic clients on disputes, Eoin also has a strong domestic and London market insurance practice advising insurers on professional and commercial risk claims.
Eoin is also an experienced employment lawyer with a particular focus on high level contentious and Industrial Relations issues. He advises large domestic and international corporate clients on key employee issues and effective management and resolution of critical employment situations.
Some years ago Eoin established the Firm’s Sports Law Group which operates across the broad range of sports law issues including IP, contracts, sponsorship, regulatory and governance issues. With the growth of the Group his focus now tends to be on the regulatory, governance and contentious issues with other members of the Group responsible for other areas. Eoin has particular experience of disputes relating to sporting rules and regulations and has handled many cases arising out of these. His clients in this area include the Football Association of Ireland, the International Rugby Board and Rally Ireland.
Eoin is recommended in a number of legal publications and directories including The Legal 500, 2007, 2008 and 2010 where he is described as ‘very calm and thorough’, 'top notch' and European Legal Experts 2007 in the area of Litigation.
