Ger O'Toole is a Partner in the Firm's Property Department. He has extensive experience in all areas of commercial property and in particular negotiating leases of office and industrial space and also the property aspects of mergers and acquisitions and the disposal of investment property. He advises a number of multinational companies in negotiating leases and purchases of Irish property.
Recently Ger advised AIB on the sale and leaseback of the Bankcentre complex in Ballsbridge (to investors, pension funds and developers), the sale and leaseback by eircom of the eircom headquarters development at Heuston South Quarter, the sale by Nissan Ireland of its Naas Road premises, the sale by Irish Distillers of their headquarter premises at Smithfield and the leasing of new headquarter premises at the RDS in Ballsbridge, the property aspects of the sale of Irish Shell to Ion Equity and the property aspects of the sale of BWG Foods on the management buyout. Ger has particular experience in dealing with large property portfolio transactions, including the sale of Irish Shell, the sale of BWG and the acquisition of a development site including 42 separate properties and interests.
He joined the Property Department of A&L Goodbody in 1994 and was appointed a Partner in 2001.
Ger is also recommended in Chambers Europe 2008, 2009 and 2010. In Chambers Europe 2008 he is appreciated for his "attention to detail and technical knowledge".
